Life Update: Sold Out

Twenty-three physical paperback copies, about 25 keychains, bookmarks and pens sold… and my books are completely sold out. I’ll be getting more for another expo, and for one more Kickstarter that completed a survey, but…

Whew. Wow. I’m floored. In a great way.

The event was Philly’s Flannel Fest, where everyone puts on their best flannel shirt and enjoys the company, food and fun of the festival. I set up my booth inside the building… unfortunately right in front of the DJ speakers. My ears are probably gonna feel the brunt of bass for a few days, but it was worth it. So many people came by my stand– and it was such a fantastic feeling to know that black people noticed a creator of fantasy-fiction. I’ll say now, I don’t know too many black fantasy writers, but seeing how eager some patrons were to take pictures and get the book was enough for me to feel satisfied.

What satisfied me more was selling the last bit of my books! The remaining 23 copies, after sending about 30 across the world from the Kickstarter, the 10 books sold at the first expo, the scattered few books that were sold to churchgoers at my grandparent’s church, and the rest here… that was 70 copies. All gone off to people who are excited to read.

For some follow-up updates, I’ve made a TikTok and an Instagram (The latter of which I need to start posting on), and I’ll be posting some promotional stuff to there with time. For now, I’m preparing for November 30th, as that will be the next expo event.

Thank you to everyone who came and bought a book, and thank you to everyone looking to support my works. I couldn’t ask for a more wonderful audience. 💗
